Celebrate Your Wins: Building Confidence, Mindset, and Motivation for Female Entrepreneurs

Welcome back to Boss to Boss Female Entrepreneurs Elevation Podcast. I am your host, Dr. Brenda, the Entrepreneur Coach. You already know this is a space where we talk about building, growing, and becoming the boss of your business and your life.

Today’s topic is one that we all love, celebrating our wins. Whether it’s big or small, every single one matters because when you pause to recognize how far you’ve come, that’s where your real growth begins. So whether you just signed your first client, launched your website, or simply just got out of bed today determined to keep going, I want you to know that’s a win worth celebrating.

So let’s talk about why celebration matters. Okay, let’s be real. Most of us are wired to keep going.

You know, we hit one goal and immediately set another one. But when was the last time you really paused to say, I did that? When was the last time you really celebrated hitting your goal? Think about that. When was the last time you celebrated that? You see, celebration isn’t about ego.

It’s not about ego. It’s about energy. It’s about your energy.

It’s about reminding yourself that progress is happening. Even if it doesn’t look like perfection, it’s still progress. It’s still progress.

It’s happening. You’re doing something. And it’s not about your ego if you celebrate it.

It’s not about the ego. It’s okay to celebrate progress. When you celebrate your wins, you’re telling your brain, hey, this is working.

Keep going. Keep going. You’re telling your brain that you’re doing something right.

So keep going. That’s powerful because success isn’t just building a strategy. It isn’t just built on strategy.

It’s built on mindset. It’s all about your mindset and how you think about things. You know, if you never celebrate, your brain starts believing that nothing is ever enough.

I’ll say that again. If you never celebrate, your brain starts believing that nothing is never enough. And that’s how burnout creeps in.

It feels like you’re just spinning your wheels and you just keep going and going and going. And if you never celebrate, then you burn yourself out. You know, you’ll burn yourself out.

You never feel like you’re doing anything right and nothing is ever enough. But when you pause and you breathe and you celebrate, then you reinforce motivation. You build confidence.

You create momentum. You build up that steam, that momentum that makes you want to keep going. In entrepreneurship, we love to chase milestones, you know, revenue goals, launches, client numbers.

But guess what? The tiny victories like, you know, the emails that were sent, the conversations that were had, the courage to start, those are the bricks that build the empires. Those are the small things, the small victories that we celebrate. Those are the things that need to be celebrated in entrepreneurship.

So let’s talk about what counts as a win. That’s really important. What counts as a win? So, spoiler alert, everything, everything counts as a win.

A win is anything that moves you closer to your purpose, no matter how small. For instance, got clarity on your business idea, that’s a win. Finally said no to something that drained you, that’s a win.

Spent time journaling, praying, or just being still, that’s a win too. You know, here’s the truth, success is made up of a thousand little wins stacked on top of each other. You may not notice progress day to day, but one day you’ll look back and realize you were building all along.

So I challenge you right now, think of one thing this week that went right. It doesn’t have to be major, maybe you followed up with the client, or maybe you posted your first reel, or maybe you gave yourself permission to rest. Say it out loud, that’s a win.

That’s a win. Because when you start counting them, you’ll see how much you’ve actually done. So I challenge you, count your wins this week.

Count your wins, no matter how big or how small. Okay, count your wins. So let me share a quick story.

When I first started my entrepreneur, my entrepreneurial journey, it’s kind of hard to say that word, entrepreneurial journey, I had this big vision of helping aspiring entrepreneurs build and launch their dreams. But I remember those early days where I’d finish a long day, exhausted, and still felt like I hadn’t done enough. Then one day I decided to celebrate the little things.

The client calls that went well, the thank you messages, even the courage to keep showing up when I didn’t see any results. That shift changed everything. I turned my focus from frustration to fulfillment.

And guess what? When I celebrated more, I actually achieved more because I was operating from gratitude and not pressure. Wow, that was mind-blowing. When I started to celebrate from gratitude, operating from gratitude and not pressure, it changed everything.

It was a game changer because celebrating the small wins, it just, it fueled me to keep going. So if you’re listening to this right now and thinking, I’m not where I want to be yet, remember this. You are further than you were before.

Think about that. You’re further than you were when you started. So no, you’re not where you want to be yet, but you’re further than you were before.

And that in itself is something worth celebrating. Right? So let’s talk about practical ways to celebrate. Practical ways to celebrate.

How do you actually celebrate your wins? Here are a few ideas I can give you to help you celebrate your wins. Number one, write them down. Keep a win journal and at the end of each day or week, however you want to do it, jot down your victories.

You know, you’ll be amazed at what you see when you look back at it. Number two, share them. Tell a friend.

Tell your coach, your team, or your community. You know, there’s power in speaking your success out loud. When you hear what you’ve done, when you tell somebody what you’ve done or accomplished that week, it makes it real.

It makes it feel good. It makes you feel good. Like, ah man, I really did that.

You know, the third thing is reward yourself. It doesn’t have to be big. It doesn’t have to be anything huge.

Maybe it’s a nice coffee or a quiet walk or even a day off. You know, make it meaningful to you however you want to reward yourself. Make it meaningful to you but reward yourself.

Okay, number four, reflect with gratitude. Thank God. Thank yourself.

Thank the process. Gratitude keeps your heart aligned with abundance. You know, thanking God for what he’s done and how far he’s brought you that’s key.

That is major. Give him thanks for what he’s done for you. You know, he’s the one that’s making it all happen and you just keep going from there.

And then the fifth thing is celebrate others. The energy you give out comes back. The energy you give out comes back.

You know, cheer for someone else’s win. It multiplies your joy. It multiplies your joy.

It’s okay to celebrate others. You know, it makes you feel good to celebrate someone else. And like you know, like I said, it comes back to you.

So don’t be selfish. Don’t be selfish. Celebrate somebody else.

If you see someone else doing great things, tell them, I’m proud of you. You know, you’re awesome. Pat them on the back and then when it’s your turn, they’ll do the same for you or someone else will.

Because here’s the truth. When you make celebration a habit, you attract more to celebrate. Remember that.

When you make celebration a habit, you attract more to celebrate. Okay? So today, I want you to take a moment and ask yourself, what am I proud of right now in this moment? What am I proud of? Then say it out loud and then write it down. Okay? And dance it out if you have to because you deserve to celebrate the progress you’ve made.

I like that. Dance it out of you if you have to. You know, I’ve done that.

I’ve done that. You know, I’ve been excited about something I’ve done and I’ve danced it out before. Like, hey, I’ve done that.

Hey, you know, it’s fine. It makes it memorable. Okay? So remember, every mountain is climbed one step at a time.

One foot in front of the other. You know, every step counts. Don’t wait for the big moment to be proud of yourself.

Be proud right now because you’re doing it. You’re doing it. So, all right, my friends.
