Seeking the Lord for today’s podcast, we’re exploring a powerful message, Matthew 5 and 14 states, you are the light of the world. A town built on a hill cannot be hidden. Matthew 5 and 16, in the same way, let your light shine before others that they may see your good deeds and glorify your father in heaven.
In this episode, we’ll reflect on what it means to shine with joy, even in challenging times. We’ll discover how living with joy not only uplifts our own spirit, but also inspires and encourage those around us. Embrace your light and share with the world.
This journey together, let our light shine and let joy be the spark that brings every moment. As we celebrate this season and month, we rejoice that no matter what situation, emotional, mental, spiritually, physical, environmental, or financial, the Lord God will shine his light within us. One of my favorite songs within a few words, you are mighty O, you shine bright.
I come to sing praises and worship with those exact words that are so powerful, releasing adoration to him. This part of the year can be difficult for some and that’s understandable. I remember when my children were younger, they still ask me this question jokingly to this day.
Mom, are you going to keep your lights up from November 1st through March or April? I laugh with the response of it has changed from November 1st until after MLK. Referencing back to allow the Lord light to shine when they were younger, yes, I went through a season we call the unseason, meaning emotional, mental, spiritually, physical, environmental, financially, we can still find joy in Christ’s birth on earth through adoration while remembering the light he shines so bright, creating our own environment as well with natural light within our atmosphere that shines bright as he does, allowing the light to shine and reflect all around us and through us. Matthew 5 and 14 is a beautiful verse.
You are the light of the world. A city set on a hill cannot be hidden. It’s a powerful reminder of our spiritual calling to shine brightly and bring hope to others.
We are not meant to hide our light. God created us to emulate the world with love, kindness, and truth. When we live with joy, we reflect God’s goodness.
Joy is contagious. It draws people closer to the light. So today, within this season, share a smile.
Speak words that’s uplift. Let your action reflect the hope you carry inside. A closing affirmation to say within our own inner spirit, I choose to shine with joy because the world needs light and that light is within me.
Also, a closing prayer. Heavenly Father, thank you for reminding us through Matthew 5 and 14 that we are called to be the light of the world. Help us to shine with joy, even in times of challenge and uncertainty.
Fill our hearts with hope, kindness, and love so that our lives may reflect your goodness to everyone we meet. Guide us to share smiles, uplifting words, and an answer compassion. Let your light within us inspire others and bring comfort to those in need.
May we always remember that joy comes from you and that your presence gives us strength to shine brightly. As we go forth, let us embrace our purpose, trust your guidance, and carry your light into every moment. In Jesus’ name we pray, amen.
