We are talking about a game that was gritty, hard fought, and a true city wide celebration. That kind of spark energizes not just a team but an entire fan base.
Abbi:
Exactly. And that momentum can be huge heading into the final stretch of the season. A win like that shows you can rely on your quarterback to make plays in pressure moments. If Chicago keeps this up, we could see them making a serious push.

Thaddeus:

Thaddeus:

Their defense is physical, aggressive, and capable of creating turnovers. This game is going to be tight, especially if it comes down to red zone efficiency and field position late in the fourth quarter.
Thaddeus:
Exactly, Abbi. I am predicting a Patriots win here. Experience in pressure situations, coaching, and the ability to execute consistently will give them the edge. But I expect it to be back and forth. This is the kind of game where momentum swings constantly and one big turnover could decide it.
Thaddeus:
Next up is a mid afternoon clash between the Broncos and Jaguars. Both teams are fighting for playoff positioning, and this is shaping up to be a high scoring affair.
Abbi:

Abbi:
Energy is gonna be huge here! Atlanta needs to hit their perimeter shots, and Chicago needs to control rebounds and interior defense. Expect a fast paced game with momentum swinging constantly. I like Atlanta in a close one, but Chicago could steal it late if Atlanta gets sloppy.
Thaddeus:

Abbi:
Keys here are ball security for the Knicks and three point shooting for Miami. If the Knicks can use their size and ball movement to control tempo, they cover. Heat have to find a way to keep pace offensively. This game could be a close one if Miami gets hot early.

Thaddeus:
And then we have Nets versus Raptors, also at 6:00 p.m. Raptors have depth and defensive discipline. Nets have to force quick transition offense and get stops.

Abbi:
Exactly. Raptors structured offense, solid paint control, and disciplined defense should give them the edge. Watch late in the fourth quarter for hustle plays to matter. Raptors are favored, but the Nets have stars who can take over if needed.

Thaddeus:
So NBA predictions for today: Hawks over Bulls, Knicks over Heat, and Raptors over Nets.
Abbi:
And all three games will give us insight into who is trending upward as we approach mid season. These wins matter for seeding, momentum, and confidence.

Thaddeus:

It’s December 9, 2025 we’re smack in the middle of football chaos, college playoffs locked in, Week 14 of the NFL shaking things up, and we’ve got real numbers to break down today. And of course, rolling with me is the one and only, sharp-tongued, fire-dropping Abby Sinclair. Abby, tell ’em what’s up!!!

Abby Sinclair: What’s popping everybody!!! Abby Sinclair here, and buckle up because this episode is loaded. We’ve got the final college football playoff rankings officially released, we’ve got bowl season matchups set, we’ve got NFL Week 14 fallout that blew some teams’ seasons to hell, and we’ve got predictions coming for December 11. So yeah tighten your seat belt, baby, because we’re stepping right into the storm!!

College Football Final Rankings & Playoff Picture

Thaddeus: Alright, starting with the big one the 2025–26 college football playoff field is officially locked. Twelve teams. Bracket set. First-round matchups confirmed!!

Here’s the top of the board as of December 7:

#1 Indiana Hoosiers undefeated, 13-0. First time in program history they’ve held the No. 1 spot in the final playoff rankings. Huge moment for that program.

#2 Ohio State Buckeyes 12-1, only loss came mid-season.

#3 Georgia Bulldogs 12-1, still one of the nastiest defensive lines in the country.

#4 Texas Tech Red Raiders 12-1, earned that final first-round bye spot.

Behind them:

Oregan (11-1)

Ole Miss (11-1)

Texas A&M (11-1)

And several others rounding out the 12-team bracket.

And the playoff games for the first round shake out like this:

Oklahoma vs Alabama December 19

Texas A&M vs Miami December 20

Ole Miss vs Tulane December 20

Oregan vs James Madison December 20

Those are locked, and official.

Abby: Indiana at No. 1 is the headline of the damn year. First time in their entire history they’ve ended the season at the top. But here’s what I’m skeptical about being No. 1 means every team below you is coming in angry and swinging!! it’s a target!

Thaddeus: Exactly. Ohio State and Georgia both look like teams you don’t want to deal with in December. And Texas Tech? They might be the most underrated 12-1 team in the country. Play physical, play fast, and they don’t flinch.

But let me plant this seed Oregan and Ole Miss are both built to steal games Especially Oregan with that offense.

College Football Predictions (Heading Into Dec. 11)

Abby: If I’m calling it today
Oregon is the sleeper with teeth.
Texas Tech could punch above its seed.
Ole Miss vs Tulane? That’s gonna be a damn street fight.
And if Indiana slips for half a quarter, Ohio State or Georgia will take their head clean off.
Thaddeus: I’ll double down on that and add this: James Madison is the dark horse. Teams like that nothing to lose, all grit thosebody’s dream season.
And depending on injuries over the next few days? The balance of power could shift before the playoff even starts.
NFL WEEK 14 Fallout and Reality Check
Thaddeus: Let’s talk NFL. Week 14 just shook the tree hard. The Chicago Bears lost to the Green Bay Packers 28–21 back on December 7. That loss knocked the Bears off the top seed line and dropped them out of first in the NFC North.
They’re now sitting at 9–4.
The Packers have moved into the division lead at 9–3–1.
That Bears loss was ugly a late interception sealed it, and Green Bay’s run game bullied through the line repeatedly.
Abby: Chicago went from looking like contenders to looking confused as hell. That’s the NFL you blink once and you lose everything you thought you had.
Meanwhile, the rest of the NFC is a damn minefield. The West is tight, the wild-card race is a mess, and every team between 6–7 wins is clawing for position. The AFC? Same thing teams nobody was talking about in October are suddenly very alive.

Thaddeus: And the power rankings? Total shuffle. Teams that were looking like Super Bowl favorites a month ago now look shaken. Meanwhile, you got a couple mid-tier teams starting to peak at the right time. December football nothing like it.

NFL What We Know vs What We Don’t

Thaddeus: What we know:

The Bears are not built to handle pressure yet. Their flaws showed.

The Packers have momentum confidence, run game, defense, all trending up.

Several playoff spots in both conferences will come down to the final two weeks.

Abby: What we don’t know:

Who’s gonna stay healthy this time of year injuries ruin seasons fast.

Who’s going to step up mentally December exposes weak minds.

Which team catches that “hell yeah we’re winning this” swagger.

Because sometimes the best team on paper ain’t the one that survives the next four weeks.

Predictions for Dec. 11, 2025 and Week 15 Outlook

Thaddeus: Alright prediction time.

College football:

Oregan is going to surge heading into bowl prep.

Indiana might crack under pressure if they don’t stay laser-focused.

Texas Tech is the most likely team to jump ahead and surprise folks.

Ole Miss vs Tulane is the matchup nobody’s respecting enough could be an instant classic.

NFL heading into Dec. 11 / Week 15:

Packers I think they win their next one. They look dangerous.

Bears they need a win, but I don’t see one coming unless they clean up that pass protection.

There’s going to be one hell of a wildcard push from a middle-of-the-pack NFL team this week.

And something tells me a defense-heavy team is about to make noise.

Abby: My picks?

Somebody ranked outside the top 5 in college football is about to rock the playoff bracket.

I’ve got Tulane upsetting someone might not be December 11 but soon.

And on the NFL side? I see a team with an elite defense but a mediocre offense breaking into the conversation in a big way.

Thaddeus: This is the part of the year where the games get mean. No more style points. No more easy weeks. This is survival football in college and the NFL.

College playoff field is locked, bowl season loaded, and we’re about to get fireworks.

ABBY: Damn right. Between the college championship showdown and the NFL slate loaded with playoff consequences, everything is on the line. Seasons end this weekend. Reputations get made. Screw-ups get remembered forever.

THE COLLEGE SHOWDOWN

THAD: Let’s dive right into the college fight first. We’ve got Texas Tech and BYU punching it out for the conference title. Listen… Texas Tech has that 12-and-a-half-point favorite line for a reason. When these teams last met? Texas Tech didn’t beat BYU… they mugged them behind the stadium. Twenty-nine to seven. A beating. A beatdown. An assault with a scoreboard weapon.

ABBY: That’s because BYU’s offense played like it had just learned what a football was that morning. Only 67 yards rushing. No big plays. Third down conversions? Trash. You’re not winning championships with that kind of offensive anemia.

THAD: But Abby, don’t get cute now. You know championship weekend has that “everybody’s watching so don’t embarrass yourself” energy. BYU may have gotten dragged last time, but they’re not a rollover. If the quarterback gets clean pockets, if the run game cracks 125 yards, if the defense forces two turnovers — they can surprise people. That’s the formula.

ABBY: True, but the odds of all that happening at the same damn time? Slim. BYU hasn’t shown they can string consistency together. Meanwhile Texas Tech is balanced — deep ball, strong backs, receivers who get separation like they’re allergic to defenders.

THAD: You’re not wrong. But you know these title games — somebody always shows up with an upset brewing. I ain’t saying BYU will pull it off… but I ain’t saying lock Texas Tech in stone, either.

ABBY: Well, I am. Texas Tech by double digits. I’ll tattoo it on my forehead if they blow it. Not really — but you get my point.

THE NFL STORM THAT’S COMING

THAD: All right, enough college for now. Let’s get to the professionals — the big checks, the big egos, the big bodies, and the big-ass consequences. Week 14 in the NFL is straight-up violence disguised as football.

ABBY: We’ve got a full slate — early afternoon chaos, mid-afternoon drama, and a primetime nuclear event. This is the kind of week where teams either rise or collapse like bad folding chairs.

THE BIG ONE — THE NIGHT GAME

THAD: Let’s talk about the marquee brawl: Kansas City versus Houston on Sunday night. This one… this one right here… might decide who sees January and who sits their asses on the couch.

ABBY: Kansas City is 6–6, wobbling like a newborn baby deer. Injuries everywhere, especially on the offensive line. Both tackles messed up. Even the guard situation is shaky. And now you’ve got to deal with Houston’s pass rush?

THAD (laughing hard): That’s like being in a knife fight with chicken-wire armor on.

ABBY: Exactly. Meanwhile Houston rolls in with a four-game win streak and a defensive line that hunts quarterbacks like they owe them money. Danielle Hunter and Will Anderson Jr.? Two of the most violent edge rushers in the league right now.

THAD: People expecting a shootout will be disappointed. This is trench warfare. It’s cold, possibly snowy, night game energy. Expect 17–14. Maybe 20–17. Somebody’s kicker is deciding this.

ABBY: And considering Houston’s kicker has had questionable moments in Arrowhead before, don’t be shocked if he shanks one early. But if he’s dialed in? Texans win this game.

THAD: It’s gritty, not pretty. I like Houston by a late field goal.

ABBY: Same. Kansas City’s line can’t hold long enough to make magic happen. That defense is gonna unleash hell.

THE EARLY CHAOS WINDOW

THAD: Let’s roll into the early afternoon slate — the beautiful mess we call the 1 PM games.

ABBY: First up: Seattle versus Atlanta. Seattle’s 9–3, Atlanta’s 4–8 and confused about what a functional offense looks like.

THAD: Seattle ain’t letting nobody run over them. They’ve gone 21 consecutive games without allowing a 100-yard rusher. That’s not luck — that’s dominance.

ABBY: Meanwhile, Atlanta’s run game has been running backwards. This is mismatch energy. Seahawks win solid — 27–13, maybe 30–10.

THAD: Facts.

ABBY: Then we’ve got Buffalo and Cincinnati. That one? Sneaky dangerous. Both teams still fighting for playoff position. Weather might be messy. Could be a defensive slugfest.

ABBY: Only thing I tweak? Bengals winning — that’s my lock. And Texans winning — that’s my second lock. Kansas City is too beat up to survive that pass rush.
