How the Founder of 4U Tax-Pros University is reshaping financial literacy and entrepreneurial opportunity across America

By the time most people realize they need a tax professional, they are already in trouble. They are behind, confused, or overwhelmed. Robin Butler saw that cycle years ago and decided she was not going to build a business around fixing mistakes. She was going to build one that prevented them.

That decision is what separates her from the pack.

As the Founder and CEO of 4U Tax-Pros University and the owner of 4U Tax-Pros, Robin Butler has quietly built one of the most forward-thinking financial education platforms in the Southern United States. What began as a tax preparation business evolved into a full-scale financial empowerment ecosystem that teaches people how to control money instead of letting money control them.

In an industry dominated by big-box chains and faceless software, Robin created something personal, human, and revolutionary: a place where people can learn how money actually works.

And more importantly, how to make it work for them.

Robin Butler does not just prepare taxes. She prepares people.

That philosophy drives everything behind 4U Tax-Pros University. While most tax offices operate seasonally, Robin runs her operation year-round because financial success does not happen between January and April. It happens in daily decisions, business strategy, budgeting habits, credit management, and long-term planning.

Her company offers traditional services like tax preparation and filing, but that is only the entry point. Clients are also introduced to financial planning, life insurance, credit rebuilding, budgeting systems, business formation, payroll compliance, and financial literacy training.

This is what makes Robin different. She is not just helping people survive tax season. She is teaching them how to build wealth.

And she does it in plain language.

Taxes, insurance, credit, and budgeting can be intimidating. Robin has a gift for breaking down complex financial systems into simple, practical steps that real people can follow. Her classrooms, whether online or in person, are designed for beginners, entrepreneurs, working families, and anyone who wants to take control of their money without being talked down to.

She does not believe financial knowledge should be reserved for the elite. She believes it belongs to everybody.

4U Tax-Pros University was built with a bold idea at its center. People should not have to depend on someone else to understand their own finances.

The university offers multiple levels of tax and financial education, allowing students to either prepare their own returns or build a business preparing returns for others. This creates two pathways: personal empowerment and professional opportunity.

Students learn not just how to file taxes, but how to run a compliant, profitable tax preparation business. They learn customer service, tax law basics, record keeping, and professional ethics. For many, this becomes a new income stream or a full-time career.

At the same time, everyday families use her courses and services to gain clarity around their money. They learn how deductions work. They understand what credits they qualify for. They begin to see their finances as something they can manage instead of something that controls them.

This dual mission makes 4U Tax-Pros University more than a business. It is a training ground for financial independence.

Taxes require trust. People are handing over their most sensitive financial information. Robin understands that trust is not given. It is earned.

That is why her brand emphasizes education, transparency, and client empowerment. Clients are not treated like numbers. They are taught how their money flows, why their refund is what it is, and what steps they can take to improve their situation next year.

That approach builds loyalty and long-term relationships. Many clients stay with 4U Tax-Pros year after year because they know they are not being sold quick fixes. They are being given real tools.

Robin’s work extends far beyond her office walls. Through her nonprofit initiatives and community outreach, she focuses on financial education for struggling families and young people. Her mission is to create a more financially informed and empowered community, one household at a time.

That includes everything from adult education to a new kids’ tax ebook that introduces financial concepts early, helping young minds understand money before mistakes become habits.

The financial services world is competitive, complex, and often dominated by large firms and national brands. Robin Butler built her business anyway.

As a woman entrepreneur in finance, she represents a growing force of leaders who are reshaping what financial services look like. She is not interested in being flashy. She is interested in being effective.

Her recognition as a Distinguished Leading Business Woman and a Business Woman of the Year finalist reflects what her clients already know. She is not just running a business. She is running a mission.

Every service she offers connects to one goal: helping people understand, protect, and grow their money.

Robin Butler is building something that will last.

Through 4U Tax-Pros University, she is training the next generation of tax professionals. Through her financial literacy programs, she is educating families who will pass that knowledge down to their children. Through her nonprofit outreach, she is lifting communities that have historically been left behind in financial education.

That is how real change happens. Not through slogans, but through systems.

Robin has built a system that turns confusion into clarity and fear into confidence. In a world where money stress affects everything from health to relationships, that is powerful.

And she is just getting started.

If you meet Robin Butler, you will not hear her brag about refunds or forms. You will hear her talk about freedom. About ownership. About knowledge.

Because to her, money is not the goal. Control is.

And she is teaching thousands of people how to claim it.

Long before Fruitful Blessings Gourmet Catering ever existed, long before menus and events and bookings, there was a young girl watching family come together around food. In those early moments, Shay learned something that would shape her entire life: food was never just food. It was connection. It was love. It was how people showed up for each other when words were not enough.

Family gatherings in Shay’s world were not rushed. They were warm, full of laughter, prayer, storytelling, and plates passed from hand to hand. The kitchen was not a place of stress. It was a place of peace. The smells of simmering dishes, the sound of conversations overlapping, and the feeling of belonging became the foundation of what she would one day build. Those experiences planted a seed that grew quietly for years.

As Shay got older, she began honing her culinary skills with intention. Cooking was no longer just something she loved. It became something she studied, practiced, and respected. She embraced the power of hospitality and learned that preparing a meal was really about preparing an experience. Every recipe became a way to care for someone. Every plate became a chance to make someone feel valued.

Over time, Shay felt called to do something more with her gift. She did not just want to cook. She wanted to serve. She wanted to create something that reflected her values of faith, gratitude, and community. That calling became Fruitful Blessings Gourmet Catering.

Fruitful Blessings was born from a simple but powerful desire to combine culinary excellence with a spirit of service. It was built on the belief that food can heal, food can unite, and food can bring light into people’s lives during both joyful celebrations and difficult moments. Shay did not set out to create just another catering company. She set out to create something meaningful.

Every dish crafted by Fruitful Blessings tells a story. It is a story of faith, of community, and of the joy that comes from bringing people together. When a client books Fruitful Blessings, they are not just ordering a menu. They are inviting in a team that cares deeply about the people they are serving. Shay’s vision is to create memorable experiences that nourish not only the body but also the soul.

This philosophy is felt in everything Fruitful Blessings does. From the way ingredients are selected to the way meals are prepared and presented, there is purpose behind every step. Shay believes that when food is made with gratitude, it carries a different kind of energy. It tastes better. It feels better. And people can sense the difference.

With every event, Shay and her team aim to share love, gratitude, and the blessings that come from a well prepared meal. Whether it is a wedding, a family reunion, a church gathering, or a corporate event, Fruitful Blessings approaches each one with the same level of care. No gathering is too small to deserve excellence. No celebration is too big to deserve heart.

What truly sets Fruitful Blessings apart is the way it blends professionalism with warmth. The food is elevated, thoughtfully prepared, and beautifully presented. But there is also something deeply personal about the experience. Clients often feel like they are being served by family, not just a business. That feeling is intentional. Shay wants people to feel welcomed, respected, and appreciated from the very first conversation.

Fruitful Blessings is also rooted in gratitude. The company name itself is a reflection of Shay’s belief that every opportunity is a blessing. Every client is a blessing. Every event is a chance to give thanks through service. That attitude shapes the culture of the entire team. It is not about rushing through orders or treating events like numbers. It is about honoring each moment.

As Fruitful Blessings continues to grow, the heart behind it remains the same. Shay is still that person who believes in the power of gathering around a table. She is still driven by faith, guided by gratitude, and inspired by the idea that something as simple as a meal can change the way people feel.

In a world that often moves too fast, Fruitful Blessings offers a reminder to slow down and savor the moment. To sit together. To share stories. To laugh. To be grateful. That is what Shay Perkins has been building all along.

Fruitful Blessings Gourmet Catering is not just about what is on the plate. It is about what happens around it. It is about community, connection, and the simple but powerful act of breaking bread together.

And that is what makes it more than a catering company. It makes it a ministry of hospitality, one beautifully prepared meal at a time.

Over the past decade, her voice has become one of the most respected and influential in contemporary Black storytelling because she does not simply write to entertain. She writes to restore, to challenge, and to build bridges between pain and possibility. Her work is deeply rooted in lived experience as well as disciplined literary craft, which allows her stories to reach people on both an emotional and intellectual level. Through novels, plays, cultural essays, and public advocacy, Felicia has made it clear that language is not neutral, but instead shapes how we see ourselves, how we treat one another, and how society decides who is worthy of dignity.

As the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Inspired Resources, LLC, Felicia built a creative ecosystem that supports writers, artists, and thinkers who want their work to have impact. In 2015, she launched the Write The Vision Virtual Authors and Writers Conference, which has since grown into one of the most respected platforms for literary development in the region and beyond. Write The Vision was designed not only to teach people how to write, but to teach them how to build sustainable careers from their voices. The conference connects aspiring and established writers with professionals in publishing, branding, marketing, and creative development, giving participants tools to move from passion to professional practice. What makes Write The Vision stand out is its focus on both creative excellence and economic empowerment, which reflects Felicia’s own understanding that words can be instruments of both expression and liberation.

Felicia’s commitment to healing and social change is also embodied in her creation of SAFE SPACE, a Youth and Teen Mental Health nonprofit that blends storytelling and wellness education. Through original theater skits, dialogue driven performances, and guided discussions, SAFE SPACE gives young people a way to confront anxiety, depression, trauma, bullying, and identity struggles in a format that feels real and relatable. By using scripted stories to reflect the daily realities of youth, Felicia has created a space where students can recognize their own experiences in the characters they see on stage and feel less alone in what they are going through. This approach allows mental health conversations to happen in a way that is accessible, compassionate, and free from stigma.

Her literary body of work continues that same mission of healing and empowerment. The WAYS Trilogy is a powerful exploration of womanhood, emotional survival, trauma, and recovery told through layered, character driven storytelling. These books speak directly to readers who have faced loss, betrayal, fear, and uncertainty and are searching for a way forward. Her theater therapy stage production, “The Brownie An Unforgettable Trip” takes this even further by inviting women into a live experience that combines performance and self reflection. The accompanying workbook series transforms the audience from passive viewers into active participants in their own healing journey, giving them space to examine their past, understand their emotions, and reclaim their voices.

In Spring 2026, Felicia will release a highly anticipated new book that examines justice, language, and the power of words to shape systems, relationships, and societal outcomes. This work builds on her lifelong exploration of how narratives create reality and how the stories we tell about people determine who receives empathy and who is denied it. By analyzing the role of language in law, culture, and personal identity, Felicia continues her mission to show that words are not just communication tools, but instruments of power that can either wound or heal.

Beyond her fiction and theater, Felicia is also a respected cultural commentator and op ed writer who offers sharp political and social analysis from the perspective of a Black woman. Her recent reflections on the film Wicked and the holiday classic The Grinch starring Benedict Cumberbatch demonstrate her ability to use popular culture as a lens for examining deeper questions about morality, power, and emotional truth. These essays reveal how even familiar stories can expose the values and fears that shape society.

Felicia’s impact has been recognized with numerous literary and cultural honors, including the Southern Laced Literary Award, AAMBC Urban Book of the Year, American Book Fest Best Book Award Finalist, Worldwide Writers Best Selling Author of the Year, Mississippi Success Honoree, Best of Mississippi Author of the Year, and recognition as one of Twenty Five Mississippians You Should Know in 2025 by MS Success Magazine. Each of these honors reflects the reach and resonance of her work as well as her role in shaping conversations about literature, healing, and justice.

Felicia Kelly Brookins is not simply telling stories, she is using them to challenge systems, uplift communities, and guide people toward wholeness. Through every book, every play, every program, and every word, she continues to prove that storytelling is one of the most powerful tools we have to change both ourselves and the world around us.

CHECK OUT FELICIA’S CREDENTIALS!!!

In addition to her creative works, Felicia is also a respected op-ed and cultural commentary writer, offering political and social analysis from the perspective of a Black woman. Her recent editorials include reflections on the very popular film, ‘ Wicked’ and the holiday film Classic ‘The Grinch’ featuring the voice-over of Actor-Benedict Cumberbatch, as the grinch we all love to hate.

Her literary and cultural honors include the Southern Laced Literary Award (2016)

AAMBC Urban Book of the Year (2018)

American Book Fest Best Book Award Finalist (2018)

Worldwide Writers Best-Selling Author of the Year (2020)

Mississippi Success Honoree (2021)

Best of Mississippi Author of the Year (2022), and recognition as one of “25 Mississippians You Should Know in 2025” by MS Success Magazine.

Brewing Bold Dreams and Community Connections with 4AM Roastery

At Urban City Podcast, we love highlighting entrepreneurs who turn passion into purpose—and this week’s spotlight shines bright on Keyetta Tan Robinson, founder of 4AM Roastery.

For Tan, coffee isn’t just a drink—it’s a legacy. After the passing of her father in 2016, the early mornings they once shared on the phone became lonely. Instead of letting the silence take over, she found comfort in roasting coffee—an extension of the ritual she’d started as a child with her grandmother, who introduced her to coffee at just nine years old.

That’s how 4AM Roastery was born. Built on the belief of “uniting people one bean at a time,” Tan’s mobile coffee business is more than just a caffeine fix. It’s community. It’s inclusion. It’s perseverance in a cup. With every pour, she encourages others to “keep roasting,” no matter the challenges life serves up.

But Tan doesn’t stop at coffee. Alongside her signature blends, she handcrafts fresh cinnamon rolls—because sometimes, the best way to brighten someone’s day is with both a warm cup and a sweet bite.

4AM Roastery caters to corporate events, private parties, and community gatherings—showing up with flavor, heart, and purpose every time. Whether it’s fueling a boardroom or bringing warmth to a family celebration, Tan makes sure 4AM always rises to the occasion.

Her mission is simple: take life one cup at a time, and never stop brewing connection.

So, next time you need a pick-me-up—remember Keyetta “Tan” Robinson and 4AM Roastery, where every morning starts with more than coffee—it starts with community.

Souraya Christine stands as a beacon of hope and transformation in the realm of mental health
and self-care advocacy, particularly within the corporate world.

As the founder of Souraya
Speaks, she has dedicated her life to revolutionizing workplace wellness, helping business
leaders prioritize employee well-being through innovative strategies that boost productivity,
reduce burnout, and enhance retention rates.
Souraya's journey to becoming a catalyst for change is rooted in personal struggle. Having
faced depression, anxiety, and rejection following numerous traumatic experiences, she made a
pivotal decision to channel her pain into purpose. Rather than letting these challenges define
her, Souraya used her story as a springboard for positive change, inspiring others facing similar
obstacles.

With over 30 years of experience in healthcare, a pastoral ordination, and a Master's degree in
Management & Leadership, Souraya brings a unique blend of expertise to her work. Her journey
has taught her the critical importance of empathy in leadership and the value of strong customer
service skills, principles that form the cornerstone of her coaching and consulting approach.

Souraya's debut as an author in 2012 marked a significant turning point, propelling her into the
world of public speaking and conference hosting.

Recognizing the profound impact she could
have, Souraya further honed her skills by becoming a certified life coach and authoring several
more books.

Her work consistently challenges corporate and community norms, encouraging healthier
actions and thought processes for individuals and organizations alike.

Souraya's approach is
holistic, addressing not just workplace dynamics but also personal growth and healing.

In 2020, Souraya expanded her reach by obtaining 501c3 status for L.I.L.A.C. Women's Ministry
(Ladies Influencing Life Altering Change), a nonprofit she had been running for several years.
This organization, while Bible-based, welcomes women of all backgrounds seeking refuge and
recovery from trauma.

L.I.L.A.C.'s ultimate goal is to provide a comprehensive range of
resources for women, including therapy services, job and career assistance, and various
support mechanisms.

Souraya's current and most ambitious project to date is a national conference tour titled
W.O.M.E.N. in Leadership. This initiative aims to empower professional women to prioritize
mental health and self-care in their lives and careers, creating a ripple effect of positive change
in organizations across the country.
Most recently, Souraya launched "Souraya Speaks" as a media brand to support her podcasts,

speaking engagements, and future media projects. This platform serves as a central hub for her
various endeavors, allowing her to reach diverse audiences with her message of hope, healing,
and empowerment.

Souraya Christine's multifaceted approach to mental health advocacy and leadership
development sets her apart in a world where these issues are often overlooked or stigmatized.
By combining her personal experiences, professional expertise, and genuine passion for helping
others, she has created a unique and powerful voice in the realms of corporate wellness and
personal growth.

As she continues to challenge norms and push for positive change, Souraya remains committed
to her core mission: creating healthier, happier, and more productive workplaces and
communities. Her work serves as a testament to the power of resilience, the importance of
mental health awareness, and the transformative impact of compassionate leadership.

Through her coaching, consulting, speaking, writing, and nonprofit work, Souraya Christine
continues to touch lives and inspire change on both individual and organizational levels. Her
journey from personal struggle to empowered leader and change-maker serves as an
inspiration to all who encounter her work, reminding us that our greatest challenges can become
our most powerful tools for positive transformation.
In every aspect of her work, Souraya Christine embodies the principles of resilience, empathy,
and transformative leadership. Her desire is that her story and her work will continue to inspire
others.

As Souraya continues to expand her influence and impact, she remains grounded in her mission
to help others overcome their challenges and realize their full potential. Her journey is a
powerful reminder that with the right mindset, support, and tools, it's possible to not only
overcome personal struggles but to use those experiences as a catalyst for widespread positive
change.

What’s next for Souraya? She is currently working on a movie, has a few more books in the
works, the W.O.M.E.N. in Leadership Conference Tour continues with Las Vegas, NV on
9/20/25 and Portland, OR on 10/18/25.
